AI services
Request from F6 → AI services, the MDT Services tab, or /pdservice <type>. Each type has a short cooldown.
The crew drives in from out of sight, does the job and leaves. If they can't get there, the job is done "remotely".
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tow truck | Tows the car you stopped, or the empty car next to you |
| Coroner | Removes bodies nearby. Comes automatically after an Officer Involved Shooting is cleared |
| Ambulance (EMS) | Treats everyone downed nearby. Some get back up; downed players can be revived |
| Mechanic | Repairs your vehicle |
| Police transport | Picks up your cuffed suspects (up to 2 per unit) and books them on the charges you enter |
| AI backup | Not requested here. Comes when you call for backup and nobody else is on duty |
Cancel or send a crew away from the MDT Services tab, or with /pdservice cancel. Going off duty cancels your jobs.
Prisoner transport (0.6.14)
The transport officer now walks your prisoner straight to the back door of the transport car. If they still get stuck, they're moved to the car after a short time.
Arrival and traffic control (0.7.5)
Services slow down as they get close (about 25 mph at 50 m, then 10 mph at 20 m) and stop gently, parked a little away from your car and any suspects. Once the crew is out, AI traffic around the service vehicle slows to about 6 mph within roughly 28 m and stops right next to it. Cars heading straight into it brake briefly. Traffic flows normally again as soon as the service vehicle leaves. /pddebug services shows the zones.
Cleaning up the scene (0.7.9)
When you leave a vehicle on scene (driver arrested, abandoned car), request a tow. When someone is down or dead, request an ambulance or coroner. If a stop or call ends without that, you lose 25% of the XP earned on it. It's a single cut, and the notice tells you what was missed. After a stop you have 90 seconds to make the request. After an OIS the coroner comes by itself, but you still have to request one (or an ambulance) yourself, or the cut applies (0.7.11).
Arrival and traffic (0.7.21)
- Services slow to about 25 mph within about 42 m of the scene and to about 10 mph within about 17 m, then park gently.
- While the crew walks between their vehicle and the scene, AI traffic stops along that path, and it moves on once the crew has left. Player cars are not affected.
/pddebug serviceslists the active zones.
Scene cleanup after a stop or OIS (0.7.24)
If a stop or call ends with a body on scene, request the coroner yourself (within range) before clearing. Otherwise you lose 25% of the XP earned on it, and always at least 10 XP. A stop whose call is still open is judged only after you clear the call.
0.7.28: A Gang Attack on an Officer call follows the same coroner and scene-cleanup rules as an OIS.
Trunk resupply (0.7.29)
- Tap E for a quick resupply. Hold E for a full resupply with first aid; you only hold through the confirm bar.
- The resupply cancels if you walk away from the trunk, get into a vehicle, take damage, ragdoll, die, go off duty, or press the cancel key.
- If you cancel during first aid, you keep the ammo and armour and the cooldown starts. If you cancel earlier, you get nothing and there is no cooldown.
0.7.32: The coroner is also sent automatically when an Officer Involved Assault call with a body is cleared.
How the tow works (0.7.39)
The flatbed drives or backs up to within a few metres of the car. The driver gets out, walks to the car, inspects it, walks back, and then the car goes onto the bed. If the truck can't get within about 15 m, it winches the car in for a few seconds instead. The traffic zone and slowdown around the scene work as before.
