The Chameleon Crusaders: Changelog & Roadmap

Officer quick start

  1. Go on duty: press F6 (or type /duty), pick your department and a station. You get your uniform, your radio joins your department's frequency, and "Press F6 to go on duty" disappears.
  2. Gear up: in F6 take a loadout (weapons, taser, armour) and spawn a department vehicle (/pdcar). /pdrefill restores health and armour (once a minute), /pdreturn returns your car.
  3. Take calls: calls pop up with a sound and a blip. Press Y to accept (or /pdaccept), /pddecline to pass. A route takes you there. The suspects only appear once you get close.
  4. Handle it: stop, talk, search, cite, arrest or chase. See the stops guide. Need help? F6 → Patrol → Request backup (Code 1/2/3/99). If nobody else is on duty, AI units may come.
  5. Finish: /code4 (F6 or MDT) when the scene is secure. Other units stop responding, and the scene stays. When you are done, /clearscene (F6 or MDT) ends the call and cleans up. Both can be bound in Settings > Key Bindings > FiveM. /pdleave leaves it for the others.
  6. Look things up on the MDT (F7): calls, people, plates and your records.
  7. Go off duty: /duty again or F6.

Handy commands: /pdunits (who is on duty), /pdcalls (open calls), /callsign (show or change your callsign), /pdstation (teleport to a station on foot), /pdblips (station blips on or off), /pdxp (your XP).

Trunk resupply (0.6.9)

Walk to the trunk of your own police car (the one tcc_pd gave you, or the last emergency vehicle you drove this shift): - Tap E: resupply in 3-4 seconds. Ammo is restocked for the weapons in your last loadout only, up to that loadout's amounts, and your armour is topped up. - Hold E: full resupply in 6-8 seconds, plus first aid.

Stand still: moving or getting hurt cancels it. There is a short cooldown (90 s by default). Take a loadout at the station first, because the trunk only restocks the last loadout you picked. If someone is standing or lying right at the trunk, tap E still resupplies, but holding E does their action (e.g. CPR).

Unit vehicle auto-assign (0.7.44)

When you are on duty and get into the driver seat of an emergency vehicle that nobody has assigned, it becomes your unit. It doesn't matter where the vehicle came from: the tcc_pd menu, vMenu's Vehicle Spawner, or one parked in the world. You get a short notification with your callsign and the plate. - If another on-duty officer already has the vehicle assigned, nothing changes and you get no message. - Taking a new unit releases your old one. The old vehicle is not deleted. - tcc_pd never deletes an auto-assigned vehicle. This covers Return vehicle, spawning another vehicle, going off duty and disconnecting. In each case the vehicle is only released. - Your assigned unit is what counts for trunk resupply, tow/mechanic calls, your unit blip label (Unit <callsign> [<plate>]) and plate-to-callsign lookups. - It works however you get in: vMenu's spawn-in-vehicle teleport, walking up and entering, moving from a passenger seat to the driver seat, or already sitting in the car when you go on duty. A freshly spawned car can take a moment to be recognised (usually under a second, at most a few). - Config (config/main.lua, Config.VehicleSettings): autoAssignOnEnter = true, autoAssignClasses = { 18 } and autoAssignModels = { 'taurus19' } (extra model names, for add-on police cars that are not class 18). Since 0.7.57 the server itself checks every second who is in each on-duty officer's driver seat, so it works for vMenu warp-in, walking up and getting in, and being seated already when you go on duty. Your client reports the vehicle class; the server checks the seat, your duty status, the model list and who already holds the vehicle.
